So far I am loving this book. Action? Yes. Romance? Yes, but it’s not the focus of the plot. Long chapters filled with deep, introspective thoughts presented as internal dialog by the main characters? Blissfully, no.

I am listening to this in preparation for the upcoming Netflix movie, The Midnight Sky.
While the premise remains interesting, I find myself starting to skip over much of the introspection.

I love this book. I love this narration. I needed a story and characters I could empathize with and this is wonderful.

I'm having a tough time with this one, honestly. Narration is fine, but having a hard time finding characters I can empathize with at all.

Narrator is still off-putting.

Yup, listening to this one again. I like having older, female characters as protagonists.

Whatever happens, I need another book about Claire and Daisy.

I am very much enjoying some of the characters in this book, and have even started warming to at least 1 character that at first I really disliked. Not so much horror, but really atmospheric. I am also enjoying the heck out of the narrator!

So far so good. The narrator is absolutely awesome!

Why is a horror book boring af?

I am sticking with this so far, but the narrator is jumping on my last nerve.

When this book is good, there is action, there is intrigue, and suspense. But then we get 10 minutes of details about a farmhouse in Montana. To say that this book is uneven is an understatement. But it's good enough to keep me wanting to know how everything turns out.

Enjoying this for the most part.

Just started this book, too. Narration is good, plot so far is engaging. Character is snarky and intelligent, which is also good.

I have hope this will not dissolve into silliness.

Just started this book. From the description and the couple of brief reviews I skimmed on Audible, it sounded like my kind of story. I'd like to say from the outset that the author is the narrator and so far is doing a great job.
