Okay verrrry very interesting. 84 pages in and so far it’s only been about Elio’s father rizzing a younger woman on the train. like don’t get me wrong LURVVV that for him but very curious about how/in what way Aciman will link this to the first novel.

This book is great and has so many sweet nuggets of wisdom but I think it’s gonna be a DNF. 1) because it’s almost due back at the library and 2) I’m getting bored. Maybe I will revisit one day should I ever travel to Prague. Thank you for listening.

I’m finding this one quite repetitive and contrived…. Like I know the high rise has a deeper meaning about class and social order etc etc but it feels saurrrr contrived.
