Couldn't quite get into this one. Will try to finish again another time.

Better editing this time around, however the formatting isn't all that great. There are words stuck together and chapters don't start on a new page.

The story has better flow, and the characters speech in dialogue seems much more natural this time around.

I am still noticing timeline issues, though.

I keep saying some very choice words every time I have to leave this book. I don't want to stop reading!

So far, it's a bit dry, but it is a cute story about a girl learning to deal with a new school, new friends and a boy she likes. It could definitely use some editing. I usually complain about comma overuse, but this actually needs more. Also, the flow could have been smoothed out; the style is very choppy.

Oh, the COMMAS! However the humorous banter is off to a great start.

More details of food than I've seen in any book other than the Hannah Swensen (Joanne Fluke) books and those have recipes because their centered around her bakery business! The misogyny of her career is notably highlighted. I detest the fact that she plays it up one moment and laments it the next. She's also rather dim-witted, relying on others to clue her in to why things are important, falls into information.
