First time reading Mary Shelley in english - I am very glad this book is so short because I find it so difficult to read :'(

Way too much "as it goes" and "he put his tongue in his cheek"
seemingly no one checked the french part, can't barely understand the part in french (it's my mother tongue) and never heard of a child game called "surprise surprise"

Else, the story is nice, curious to see how it will develop and end !
