I’m absolutely loving this book currently! I have cried twice so far!

Officially, it's not good anymore. Crap. Dung. Shit. It lacks diversity, the plot is boring, no energy, characters are boring, and the book is bland. The first two chapters were interesting due to their lack of information, but a book should NOT lack information for 23 some chapters. That's just not okay. Smh.

This book is amazing so far!!!! The mystery, the slight bit of fantasy (or magical elements), and the writing, omg, the writing is so eloquent!!!! And it flows! It's amazing, I even found my manner of speech to change to the books manner of speech haha, its just that good!

What a shame. I was planning to rate this book 3 stars, but now it's indefinitely going to be 2 stars. I found typos. Typos that pull you out of the book because they are so obvious. And don't get me started on the fact this sequel is literally just regurgitating the first book. Shaking my head. What a shame.

Even though it's the second time reading it, I'm still crying.

There's a character in this book pissing me off. After everything she's done, she still plans to cause more issues and she is pissing me off. I hate her. smh

This book is attempting to traumatize me. T_T It's intense. I think I need a fantasy book after 2 books of thrillers omg

I think this book is insane, and the main character seems legit crazy or something. The writing is amazing so far though

This book is not for the light of heart. There's already been sexual assault scenes, mild domestic abuse, and other sexual content, plus a bunch of profanity.

Gaiman is really good at causing the reader to hate/and feel disgust towards the enemy. They are vile and the descriptions of them eating animals that are still alive is beyond disgusting. It gives me the creeps and I just can't stand it.

I may be biased as I love Neil Gaiman's works, but so far, I'm not seeing anything wrong with his writing style. I'm also not seeing any clichés. This book is surprisingly really good.

Made it to chapter 3 finally, I am at a huge loss as to what is going on, which is normally the case with Neil Gaiman's books, for the first while anyways. Usually by the end of the book you understand everything.

But it's keeping me intrigued to say the least. So that's good! Very fast paced in my opinion, which by no means is a bad thing. I actually prefer fast paced books as it keeps me interested.

Loving this so far. Essentially one of the messages is: don't mess with the devil 🤣

My apologies, Morton has referenced another lamp in Birchwood Manor, but this time described it as a tallow lamp. If that had been done in the first place, I would never have assumed the lamp to be an electrical lamp. Although it could just be my lack of knowledge to do with terms from the early days.

Tsk tsk… Morton you’re really messing up this time… you just said that they had no electricity in this house and yet Juliet turned off a lamp to go to sleep…. I have no words

Not gonna lie, I’m super confused and feeling like this isn’t one of Morton’s best books…

It is really good so far, but confusing at times.

I want to keep reading, I must, but alas I must head to work 😭

So far the book is a bit on the boring side, but, that could be because I just finished reading the Secret Keeper and that one was insanely good.
