I finished listening to this book through the Hoopla app from my public library. I will read it next! Far more interesting story of how wheelchair sports became such a huge thing set in the backdrop of WWII and the antisemitism that shaped our entire world.

Abandoning this one.

I connected with the main character and her gradual vision loss, but the connection she has with the book character frustrated me.

This book is amazing! 👏

Hooked in two chapters!

Student begged and I let them take it this weekend. Hopefully I will get it back. Very fun graphic novel!

I loved this book!

Historical fiction WWII from a German family on the run. Wow. Just wow.

I loved this book so very much! It is a book about a child recognizing, but not fully understanding a mental health issue of one of her parents. The characters are very well drawn and I believe middle grade readers will find much to connect to here.

Side note: this is a book I recommend to adults for book clubs, as well!

I loved this book! It is a great character study and felt a bit like a rollercoaster ride I refused to get off.

The story confronts testing on animals and the power of using your voice and skills to make change happen for animals in those labs. Lots of points about embracing differences, as well!
