I'm adoring Emma. this is pretty hilarious

Am I finally *hopefully* reading my first 5 star book of this year that isn't a re-read?? Please let it be true. I am loving it so far.

the writing itself is like compulsion. the sentences flow so smoothly and in a rhythm that is lovely to me. cathartic is a word I can use to describe how I am feeling whilst reading.

this so far has been intriguing and has kept my attention. more than the previous book. Rose has irritated me quite a lot tho. I really hope she has some major character development by the end.

This is very charming. I'm amused.

I am really loving the writing style. it's melancholic but so funny in some places. I am hoping I end up really enjoying this book by the end.

I just can't go through with the story. it's trying too hard to be shocking and twisty. I am just finding it tedious. no character is any good. they are all lying and disloyal.

this is not a thriller. just teenage melodrama in a tense situation. for fuck's sake. the audiobook narrator is doing too much shouting and squealing even if the character requires it, its too many annoying voices. the characters are so overdramatic, no was is actually sinister or evil so far yes one guy killed someone but that was in the moment. Idk how far it will go or what the twist will be.

I think I might love this. I'm very invested already and I like the writing.

not a fan of Tilly so far. hope she grows on me and as a character

bruh I don't care how "self-aware" the author is making the Jamie by mentioning that she "shouldn't be having horny thoughts about Wes' It still doesn't stop it from pissing me off! like seriously??

the pacing is so fucking slow.
