I’m not sure I’ve found a contemporary devotional I like as much or as biblically solid and impactful as this has been. My wife and I try to read one a day or so and it’s been a blessing for sure. Highly recommend.

Handed down from a dear friend, this may be my favorite bible to read on a daily basis that I own. It's not busy with cross references, footnotes, tiny super/sub text, or other comments (which are helpful in other context of course), but this has in-line (colored) and fully quoted OT/NT references so you can see covenant connection and fulfillment as you read without flipping - fantastic.

The next book my wife and I are going to slowly read together in the evenings, looking forward to it …

Hard book to read quickly as letting these stories sink in has been very heavy on my heart (encouraging, but heavy)
