This book never ceases to amaze me. This is the fourth time, I read it and it gets better every time. It still sucks me in like the first time and I discover something new I haven't noticed before. It really rewards rereading, especially with the knowledge of the whole series as a reference.

There are books I like, books I love, and then, there is "Rivers of London" read by Kobna Holdbrook-Smith.

Finally! A new fix for the avarage RoL addict! Read the first chapter. Loved it instantly, heard Kobna in my head, but so missed his real voice. So, I pawned my kids (It's the end of the month after all), got the audio and will dive into it right now. Don't expect me to do anything but drool for the next three to four hours.

Starts out better than the last one, but somehow the author is not quite capable of getting the Doctor and Martha right.

Urban fantasy with faeries as nasty little computer bugs. Now that's totally up my alley. And it starts out very promising.

I have to admit I had some issues with this book. While it was fun and original in its ideas, it felt very disjointed at times. It took incredibly long to get the plot going. It was way past the 50% mark that I even got a remote idea what this story was all about. After that the plot unfolded nicely, but till then... It fits nicely in the overall story arc though and I'm quite curious how it all will play out.

This book took an awfully long time for introduction. I'm past the half mark and only now the is a hint of plot. Alas, since Fforde's ideas on how the bookwolrd works were so wonderfully weird, I'll forgive him. And it still makes me want to read all those English classics.

This starts of exactly where the last book left of so right now it feels more like the second part of the second book than an independent addition to the story. Not sure where this will head either. But I'm getting some ideas about Granny Next and I'm fairly sure it's no coincidence her husband was eradicated, too.

And I totally blame Jasper Fforde and Thursday Next for this one!
