Thoroughly enjoying this story even though I've been through it before. That's about the highest praise I could possibly give it. I recommend it to absolutely everyone, by which I mean I'd be thrilled to see every reader I know pick it up. On the other hand, how long must I wait for book 2? I hope that Jonathan Renshaw doesn't turn out to be another Patrick Rothfuss.

So Disney made a movie out of this? I'm betting it's one of the rare instances where the movie is better than the book. I'm looking forward to reaching the end so that I can start something better.

Just a few hours left.
Still can't figure out why anyone would think it was a good idea to right a YA fantasy heavily borrowing from Harry Potter, and have the main character repeatedly compare everything to Harry Potter. Surely the author knows that Harry Potter is a better story, and making it impossible for the reader to not compare this book to it is a very bad thing?

So far this really is just, "What if Harry Potter was a really poor YA novel?"
Looks like I should have trusted the negative reviews on this one...

I've decided I should start leaving a note when a start a book and hate it so much that I return it.
So, for today's installment, I present:
"Treason" by Orson Scott Card
I've decided that Orson Scott Card is the sort of author that comes up with plots that sound amazing, and then turns them into books that I hate. This is not the first time I've hated one of his books, so maybe it's time I stop picking them up.
