Great recipes but, beyond that, the photography is delicious. The recipes are easy to read and create wonderful imaginary food in my brain. I've picked about 3 recipes to try.

A story that is as comforting as cake. There's a crazy family brought together because of crazy circumstances, that forces everyone to change. I really enjoyed it - and there's recipes at the end!

Haven't read a book that has kept me up until the wee hours, in a long time. This historical fiction account of a young woman's trek West to California at the beginning of the California Gold Rush is full of interesting characters and all of the heartache and sweat of an overland wagon trip. I can't wait until the next one comes out!

I keep seeing Tim Gunn, in my mind, as Hodge.
