Jeffbeardsley is on page 325 of 480 of Martin Luther: The Man Who Rediscovered God and Changed the World
Anything by Eric Metaxas is a cornucopia of exquisite prose. In "Martin Luther" his choice of wording makes for an enjoyable read about a time not known for anything enjoyable. A real person whose faith confronted though dark years and confound those in authority who would question His personal relationship with the Lord. More to come.....

Jeffbeardsley is on page 225 of 320 of The Wright Brothers
David McCullough, my favorite author and a very surprising read. Everything that I thought I knew about the Wright brothers, turns out to be rather bland portrait of the hardworking 20th century businessmen that this book describes. It's become one of my very favorite books I have ever read.

Jeffbeardsley is on page 219 of 608 of MacArthur at War: World War II in the Pacific
Great read on the intricacies of WW2 just after Pearl Harbor. About one of our most respected generals, MacArthur's character, his opinions and actions as we present a united front with our own armed forces and our allies as well.

Jeffbeardsley is on page 23 of 432 of Rival Rails: The Race to Build America's Greatest Transcontinental Railroad
I got to page 155 and then was derailed by another Walter R Borneman book (Macarthur at War). More to follow about that but I will be back on Rival Rails soon.
