I don’t know if I want to finish this book. Some developments just feel forced and I’m not invested enough in the characters to overlook that.

I have a bad feeling about this one. It was okay up to the end of the free amazon sample so I bought it because hockey, but it is already starting to annoy me. I don't know if I want to keep going and risk getting even more annoyed with it...

I love everything in this book but I am not really in the mood for a capper right now so I'll put it aside for a bit and read something else until I am someone who can enjoy a band of nice people coming together to save New-York again.

Hurg, such a great premise and already this books annoys me. Like:

It's harder to like Jal than it was to like Jorg and that's slowing down my reading some but the story looks to have promise.

Clumsy phrasing, POV keeps jumping without warning between the two main character and at least one other that I picked, information that would have made one of the character more sympathetic appeared two chapters in and I don't know if it explains stuff or just comes out of nowhere, the characterisation seems slightly inconsistent on the other character, author keeps telling something and showing something else.
