this book is so much damn fun.

really enjoying this but likely won’t be picking up anything else by Simmons after finding out he’s a racist, homophobic, Republican asshole.

Reshelving for now around page 300. I think this is really important history to know but it’s started to get a little tedious. it’s both a good and bad thing because I haven’t picked it up in weeks but still remember everything I read. I’ll need to revisit this one when I have more time to devote to it.

Book club read. this isn’t something I’d typically pick up otherwise.

so far, not as good as How Jesus Became God. I like the history of paganism in ancient Rome but it feels like it needs more depth.
