This had a befuddled beginning that came together, then sort of petered out. The book is beautifully written and a work of art with elegant magical elements. But has a who done it slow burn. Interesting, but I couldn't quite love it

The author writes so you really have to concentrate while reading, he really is building a world. Long, but good! I love seeing things explained, since i read the trilogy first. The story of the elves and water people and a dragon and an adventure of singing dwares, a robber hobbit and of course a wizard, a magic ring, and a bit of fighting huge spiders make this tale unforgettable
