DNF just not grabbing me

DNF. Pretty lightweight and little substance.

DNF - Contains Spoilers - I guess a “sweeping saga” starts with pain and sadness. I just don’t need that right now. My heart broke for the little girl who was adopted half a dozen times only to be returned to the orphanage every time. I don’t need Becky to make Cal move out of the bedroom because she’s holding seances now and he doesn’t understand. Can’t do 10 more hours of this.

Great book, all heart

So so good. Two people are found murdered on farm land and a little Native American girl has parents no one can find.

Slow start

I can’t put the book down, half way through. Noah spells out the atrocities happening during apartheid but doesn’t get angry, well not ugly-angry like I would be. It’s more Here’s what happened and here’s how my family faced it.

Well I’ve never called it quits on a book half way through. His humor is just not my jam. DNF

DNF. I can see it’s potential but I am not enjoying this book. The story is overshadowed by profanity and too many characters.

Always a good Whodunnit with the same cast of characters set in 1900 London

Enjoying this book with an author new to me, chose it for the Hispanic Heritage challenge. Podcast format mixed in.
