This book is very action action action and I love it! It still has that same cosy feel of the first book and I LOVE that we get to see a faerie world rather than the fae that we see in most romantasy books now (not that I don’t also love them it’s just nice to see it done in a different way), this faerie world gives me Terry Pratchett/wee free men vibes and I’m here for it!

This book is very cosy and warming so far as their friendship grows. It’s intriguing because I need to know why she’s there and how much Cassiel will progress both in his training and in becoming less of a recluse

Nothings really happened yet but the book is interesting and already making me want to read more I like the narration and writing style, it’s easy to read and already given some good world building without giving out too much straight away

I didn’t except this book to have a rape victim and as someone who’s been through it myself I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read it and it all be magically fixed by some guy, however, the way it’s described and the way it makes her body lock up even when she trusts someone is so incredibly accurate and makes me so released to know it’s normal after going through that. Perfectly written and described!

I’m a bit frustrated that as we get further into the book the things that happen are described less and less. How did she kill the teacher? It just says she was standing over him and then they need to make a cover up. Some parts almost feel as though AI has written them and things that happen are jumped over but other parts are so well written
