Michael Hatt is starting The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder
Have started another sea going adventure, featuring the times of His Majesty's Ship, The Wager. Taking place in the mid 1700's, once again the sailing ships of wood are very well presented. Just learning the characters at this point.

Michael Hatt is finished with Village in the Sky (Alex Benedict #9)
Yeah, I completed this book quite some time ago. A good story by Jack McDevitt. Have noticed a slight downturn with the imagination in his more recent novels. Non-the-less, he remains one of my favorite authors.

Own and have read every one of Jack McDevitt's books. Got hooked on him with his novel, Moonfall in the early 2000's. His stories are exciting, detailed, and sometimes very intense. Have highly enjoyed his Alex Benedict novels, and the Acadamy series, featuring Priscilla "Hutch" Hutchins, is very good. Highly recommended.

Michael Hatt is starting Village in the Sky (Alex Benedict #9)
Village in the Sky is the ninth Alex Benedict novel by Jack McDevitt. Alex is a future antiques dealer who also happens upon mysterious enigmas that defy logic. Following Alex and his partner Chase Colpath on the trail of a solution is highly enjoyable. Have read all eight previous Alex Benedict novels and expect the same quality with this latest book.

Michael Hatt is starting The Boat of a Million Years
Started this book a few days ago. I am impressed. A few individuals have been blessed, (cursed), with immortality. This book is following a few of these people as they travel from very early recorded history and on to future days. A very extensive book by Poul Anderson, but it reads well. This is almost a collection of short stories that are tied together. But, not quite. Enjoying it.

This is a 1972 novel that would be the bases for the TV series, "The Six Million Dollar Man", starring Lee Majors. Quite a bit of detail is going into both Steve Austin's accident and the gradual rebuild of his body with bionic replacements. Keeping me interested.

Kevin J. Anderson and Doug Beason work incredibly well together to create well thought out stories. Fallout brings back FBI agent Craig Kreident and his team. Highly enjoyed the previous story with this team. Expect to be entertained to the max.

Sure, and I've read this one before, but it's been awhile. Definitely like Arthur C. Clarke as an author, and recall that this story deals with the Space Elevator. Plan on an enjoyable flashback.

Michael Hatt is starting A Soldier of Poloda (Wild Adventures of Edgar Rice Burroughs, #5)
Met Lee Strong, and was taken in by his intensity towards the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs. His book, A Soldier of Poloda, is a continuation of Burroughs novelette, Beyond the Farthest Star. Anticipating an entertaining read.

Continuing with Vernor Vinge's (Zones of Thought) series. Started "A Deepness in the Sky". Anticipate a complex storyline if it's anything like his previous novel, A Fire Upon the Deep. Expect I'll enjoy it.

Just started this one. A good start that has me interested. Know nothing of the author, Robert Charles Wilson, but like his style so far. Taking place in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, to boot. Looking forward to a good read.

Been awhile since I last read any S.M. Stirling. Felt his Emberverse series was getting a bit long of the tooth. Hoping for a fresh perspective with this book.

Michael Hatt is starting 1634: The Ram Rebellion (Assiti Shards, #4)
Continuing with my immersion into the 1632 multi verse, have determined that 1634: The Ram Rebellion may be the next in line to read. Features both Eric Flint and Virginia DeMarce as co authors. And as I'm progressing, I find it is really a book made of several short stories. Not my cup of tea. Will see how it progresses.

Finished 1633, sequel to 1632. Carried on directly where 1632 left off. The concept remains intriguing, the town of Grantville, West Virginia transported through time to central Germany during the Thirty Years War. Michael Hatt is starting River of Bones (Destroyermen, #13)
Have enjoyed Taylor Anderson's entire Destroyermen series. With the current entry, River of Bones, the humans and their Lemurian allies are spread thin over much of the world fighting both Grik in the western Pacific and the Dominion in the eastern Pacific. And there are more enemies on the horizon. Lots of characters and lots of battle fronts. Still, Anderson is keeping it interesting.
