Feel the urge to source a YA cliche bingo card.

Not sure why this book is frequently described as"depressing", I thought there was a lot of hope and symmetry in the ending.

Oooh, a page turner! I've been craving one of those!

Probably a mistake to read this right after Station Eleven: the disparity in writing quality is simply striking.

The scenes from the publishing world are fun to read for someone who is an aspiring YA author (and let's be honest - who isn't these days?), but for me two stories never quite came together in a satisfying way

Still not sure what this book is actually about. The world of YA publishing is fun to read about though. And the LGBT aspect of it is a welcome surprise. I don't remember any reviews that I've seen mentioning it.

Looks like it could be a good candidate for a "Let's Read"-type treatment.

So this IS two novels in one book. Both are fun to read, but so far I fail to detect a significant connection between the narratives.

I thought it would be fun to read this back to back with Plaidy's The Reluctant Queen, but Anne Neville just isn't that compelling as a leading lady.

Let's hope this book is more about the journey than the destination...
