A society where the simple many obey the few seers can live: a society where all were seers could live even more fully. But a society where the mass is simple and the seers are no longer attended to can achieve only superficiality, baseness, ugliness, and in the end extinction.

A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obviously. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is… A man who gives in to temptation after five minutes simply does not know what it would have been like an hour later… we never find out the strength of the evil impulse inside us until we try to fight it.

Good and evil both increase at compound interest. That is why the little decisions you and I make every day are of such infinite importance.
