Took an odd turn; not sure the motivation of the “villains” makes the most sense.

I wanted to like this novel, but I’m finding that all of what I’ve read could’ve been done in less than 100 pages. I’m finding it a bit of a gruelling read, honestly.

I am finding the pace of this book to be incredible, but what I loved about The Handmaid’s Tale was how real and possible Gilead seemed. This story’s Gilead seems almost absurd in an impossible way; that people might think how these characters think, I understand the influence and never having known anything else but I do not know if the socialization they have received would’ve necessarily equated this...

Loving it so far, nice transition from Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows. Still a bit relatable, despite not being Chinese.

I am so mad at myself for buying this book. I knew I wouldn't like it; I didn't like the first one. If I have to read the sentences "anyone can betray anyone" or "we seem weak because we want to" I will scream. These are not revolutionary thoughts. They're not even good sentences. Every sentence seems like it's trying to hard. I can't do this; I'm skimming.

I need to finish all these books I've started...

really want to read the books I bought but I should probably make sure I'm caught up on school readings first... :|

The pacing is all wrong. Thought processes are too rash. Plot "twists" are coming out of nowhere. Get better, book. Get better.

I'm a bit disappointed already. It's not living up to what I had hoped right now. The writing can be irksome and the plot isn't flowing. Please, please get better. I hate predictable, silly books.
