Still the writing is keeping me here, but Dani doesn’t do anything for me

I like the writing style, but im having a bit of trouble with the overly sexualised language. Im just a bit over all the “smut” we get in romance and even fantasy now a days

The writing style is something to get used to

This book it so inconsistent with its information. You tell me early on that conscripts can’t make it to the Riders Quadrant, but out of nowhere all these conscripts are in this Quadrant… Yaros isn’t even following her own rules. Plus the modern teenage language for a story that is supposed to be medieval fantasy times. I really don’t get the hype

Im already confused… first you tell me that Xaden Riorson was conscripted and is a 3rd year in the Riders Quadrant. And then not even 2 pages later you tell me that the Riders Quadrant is the only Quadrant that doesn’t accept conscripts - only volunteers. Make up your mind!

I really don’t like the amnesia trope…. Reed is getting on my nerves.
