I think reading this book right now might be messing with my head.

Having serious trouble with this book so far. As an introvert, I feel kind of insulted. Does it get better?

I know, I'm a total freak. I've never read this before!

There are definitely things that I like about this book, but I am really struggling to finish... please someone tell me it's all worth it at the end?

I won't lie, this book is reeeeally very tedious. But I can't manage to put it down. Anne Rice isn't simply telling a story here, she is creating an entire history since 1600 of a large family and of 'council,' if you will, of people who track the paranormal. Really quite incredible, even at over 1,000 pages.
