how do you enter another book universe without feeling devastated to leave the last one behind?

feeling sick with a type of yearning that only this exact scenario can give me. glad i waited over a year to re-read bc its hitting just as hard as the first time. thank god for memory loss i guess

i empathize with marianne's self destructive qualities a little too much so it's been a bit of a depressing read but overall very good. i don't want to stop but it's late

the no quotation marks format that sally rooney chose for this is incredibly hard to follow along with but the characters are intriguing enough that im willing to give it a shot for a while longer
