i’m in a queer YA lit class so expect a LOT more of these
i am really (surprisingly) enjoying this book… the premise didn’t hook me but i listened to the audiobook on my way to work and past chapter 5 i got invested

girl this took a turn so fucking fast i’m dead

i’m going to be bold and say that this is going to be her best book so far

ah new soap opera in book form

i will likely not be anywhere close to finishing this book until after graduation LMAO we’ll see

it’s so sad sometimes to have to remember that these stories are not romances and they do not have a HEA…. my poor ladies… the greeks were merciless to women

the PPD representation is actually so important it made me tear up— if i was ever separated from ella i would also be desolate

there’s something about siblings man it’ll get me

i love the dual perspective of phaedra & ariadne— i KNEW that 99% of greek heroic myths needed the woman’s side to fully make sense and this proves my point

god it’s so good

i love ariadne and her story and i love a modern reimagining of classics that is made to align more with modern morals it’s so fun to read

i did manage to read to chapter 9 before class btw

these books are simultaneously stimulating and also easy to read which is a great combo, nearly impossible to do
