Moving onto connecting italics.

Beginning Italic exercises

I flipped through the entire book in about an hour yesterday since I found the drawings to be gorgeous. The techniques with ink and brush are precisely what I’m looking to work with and they’re applied here to figure drawing, quickly. It’s perfect for me right now. As usual, I plan to read through the text first and then start working through the drawing practice.

I’ve read the first three stories. I love this book already. The stories are teeming with humanity, innocence, wonder and simplicity. It’s just beautiful.

Skipping over Celtics and Gothics directly to Bookhand and Italics as a means of cultivating a regular handwriting script using a stub nib. Will be revisiting the Gothics especially at a later time.
