Dave Pearl is finished with The Man in the Bunker (Tom Wilde #6)
An absolutely staggering piece of work. The closest I can think of is Robert Harris who's also a British historical fiction writer who often writes about World War ii. This is the first book I've read fiction or nonfiction that covers the events immediately after World War II in the German theater. With a mix of real and imagined characters as well as real and imagined events. This is an absolute page turner.

Only concern is no direct interview with Tim himself. Major flaw IMHO

Great book esp if you are a Western expat living in Asia..Pair this with "The Outsider" with Jared Leto on Netflix to get a real look at Japan away from the tourist view

Great book. Love the author's style. My favorite movie so it's easy to fall along even though it appears that about 80% of the details are different between the book and the movie. Interesting to finally read one of the saucers books. A great work of fiction the pages are easy to read the book it's relatively short easy on the eyes

Dave Pearl is on page 240 of 248 of Jim Thompson: The Unsolved Mystery
Just an absolutely mind-blowing book. The author it turns out it's a long-term Thailand expert. He lived here from 1960 until 2017. If you're an expat living in Thailand especially an American living in Bangkok like myself you want to read this book. But it's also torture because nobody really knows what happened to Jim Thompson. I hope the mystery is solved

I'm an American around the same age as this gentleman when he disappeared. I've been living in Bangkok for 3 years. Intensely interested in the subject matter. Goodreads so far. Always wanted to go to Malaysia. Learning a lot about Malaysia. Learning more about Thailand in myself as an expat here.
