Groan…. when will I learn that romantic comedy novels are not for me? I love the movies, but every single book is a big fat disappointment. The audio version is also annoying.so don’t even suggest it. There are too many unrealistic events and wild swings by protagonist. There are superlatives over superlatives.
No way does a lawyer take weeks to be stranded by hurricane and be able to up and fly around.

This is FASCINATING. Women had so much, and lost it. Gender fluidity was so common until it wasn’t. In short, we are regressing and have been for hundreds of years.

Slogging so far. Why do I keep thinking I will enjoy romance-y novels? I love brainless rom-com movies but I can’t seem to make the leap even when all I want is to get lost in an easy breezy escape tale.

Made it a little over halfway. Frogging this forever. It’s cheesy and made for Netflix Valentine’s Collection - but cue the white supremacy bullshit, sexist/hetero-centric lense and a very slight, historically inaccurate reference to Washington’s slaves that turned me off for good. Life is too short to read books that make you feel like you’re contributing to the problem.

Is it too soon to relive this history? Nahhhhhhh

Got this as an audio book. Hillary reads it herself! A mix of feelings about it so far, but definitely want to finish. Loan ran out! To pick up at the end of Being a woman in politics...of course, I didn’t check my page number before it ended.
