Andrew is starting Miracles of Life: Shanghai to Shepperton: An Autobiography
I need a smaller book I can read in bed. Surprised it is a hardcover.

Andrew is starting Island Craft: Your Guide to the Breweries of Vancouver Island
I ordered another whisky book but this seems to be the thinnest book in my pile. I’m avoiding reading gaming or work books.

It takes a while but it definitely gets demented.

After the week I had, I’m glad I chose this book next. It is a much easier read, got through 34 pages over coffee.

I’m not sure I have enough time left in my life to give Kant another 700 pages or whatever, we’ll see how I do with Porter.

I’ve decided to resume reading this, I think it sucks less than Kant. I don’t like having unfinished books. I think I always finish books eventually but Kant… at least I can claim this is related to work in some way. Reading on weekends in cafes I made a thing until I stopped getting days off.

Recently on Twitter someone quipped that the finest minds of our age were getting 3.77 stars on Goodreads and I thought if you write a dull book, you write a dull book and if you want to enter a popularity contest take up singing on TV. The best books are not for everyone and page turners sell but are they really written by the finest minds of our age? Anyway I finished this.

I’m not sure it is a great book and of course it is spoiled by all the media but seeing it at number one pissed you know who off. He has caused so many problems for so many people and still he is scheming to stay in office longer. I wasted too much time reading news online but I’ll probably read another Trump book once he is well and truly out of the Whitehouse and can’t prevent the truth from coming out.

I think I am done with this book, my first SSRS report is almost done. Sadly I think this tech is on the way out in favour of pagination Power BI reports. You can also learn a lot from online documentation and keyword searching.

I read the first dozen chapters now I must build SSRS reports. I think this is a dying technology but we still use it. Microsoft would prefer you migrate to the most expensive version of Power BI but it is unlikely we will, so dinosaur tech for another year or two.

Andrew is 60% done with Love in the Time of Cholera
I think I am mostly done this book. I caught the end of the movie once on TV and ever since planned to read this. I think he is good at describe minutiae and of course any story filled with love and death is unlikely to be dull. I also want to visit the largest walled city in South America now.
