I wish it focused more on the book and less on Hemingway’s “domestic difficulties”. The stuff about the book is really good, though, as is Hemingway as a young, ambitious, arrogant and belligerent writer.

3/5. most of the stories are so-so, but there's some brilliant ones: sex, death and starshine; deadman's road; and particularly dead like me.

It's fun and exciting, if a bit slow in getting the murder mystery going. Would have liked to finish it but, sigh, where's the time!
