So excited to start this! I received an ARC from the publisher and I was going to wait until my long plane trip, but I just can't!!!

I received a free review copy of this book. So, what did I think? Spoilers ahead!

I spent much of the book being frustrated with Hanna's parents for taking no action against her. Suzette was wishy washy the entire time. Yes, she tried to enroll Hanna in school and therapy, but she kept her bedroom door unlocked whike she was sleeping -- she knew she had a psycho kid. Alex was just clueless and that frustrated me.

Excellent read! I was surprised by the ending. All I can say is thank goodness I do not have a mother in law that needs to act like Pammie!

This book started off as enjoyable, with the magical realism built in. About 3/4 of the way through, though, I was ready for it to be done. It seemed like the author was too, as she wrapped up the problem with David in less than a page. It started to feel like a soap opera.

I received this book for free, as a promotion before it was published. I read a lot of chick lit, some good and some bad.

So...I didn't want to put the book down. As a forty something with a small child living with me, I could relate to Kate. The situations in the book were realistic and handled humorously. The ending was typical chick lit happy ending, but that's the genre.

Predictable and banal, even for a trashy romance. There was no real conflict and the characters fell in love immediately. No personalities to the main characters either

Ugh. Too many characters introduced at once.

Same old predictable stuff throughout the entire book. Did not finish.
