I finally looked at the categories. It's my fault for having autobuy authors. I'm not mad. I just have the right expectations now... at almost 65% in. 🤦🏾‍♀️

Ugh. My blood pressure. Making Eden the Villain so that C & J can fix their shit and end up together? I know it doesn't end that way. I'm aware she'll come back. But seriously?! IT'S EDEN'S BOOK! I mean I guess she did it with Hunter/Drake/Isabelle, too. But at least that was done well. That story was ALWAYS all of their story. Jade has no place here. None.

I hate that I love Eden and Clay so much that I suffer through either of them and Jade. She feels like his pal and Eden's mentee. Rightfully so since that's how she started with both of them. Aside from deciding to f—ck, their relationships with never developed from that. I don't believe for one second either of them loves her. Especially not when they love each other SO much.

She has a whole team. A whole team. And not once did they stop her from making what was supposed to be a book about her most interesting character, the story of a completely different woman. Jade can have a book. I'd read that book. But THIS isn't her story. Eden and Clay should have had way more moments by now, especially since she planted that seed in the last book.

Every Jade chapter makes me set the book down. I feel like a bad feminist for not rooting for her but a. She's a pawn on the chessboard of Eden and Clay's denial. 2. The constant mirroring of Eden's past with Clay with Jade's present makes my teeth grind. 3. Clay and Eden are much stronger characters. 4. It really feels like she was just shoved in the story for added conflict and 5. She's keeping Clay and Eden apart

If she would have left Jade out of this, it's possible I would've liked this one better than Give Me More. Eden + Clay are all the angst my little black heart can't take.

If I could skip over every Jade chapter and not miss anything, I would. I love a good throuple, but this would've been much better if it was just Eden and Clay.

The cringe.

I'm putting this one on hold. I have tried to get into it. I just can't. I still don't want to all out DNF because I do have the ARC for the 3rd book, but I am almost in tears at how hard I'm having to force myself to read and it's just not worth it.

I have an ARC of the third book so I'm trying to read the first two. But...

This book has me in an f—ing chokehold. That is all.

WTF? NOW Satcher tells Jules? Ugh. Why can't there just be an admirable female friendship in a book without some dick ruining it?

Is this one of those men who don't know how to write women but they use a feminine pseudonym so women will think they're a woman and buy their book?
