Not a thriller, more a gossip magazine story with lots of chatter reminiscent of hearing my wife and her friends, but gems are there.

I couldn't hack it. Far too dramatic for my liking and far too willing to believe she's found love at every turn. Her naivety is excusable, and the evil she has met along the way from employers and lovers, deplorable. But I couldn't bear the constant series of super-highs and lows, so I gave up to readd a nice, gentle war book.

So far on Chapter 3.

This is a far more optimistic book than Monbiot's doom-laden missives in the past, and his analyses are spot on.
