The mind games I played to figure out which books I read before which other books as a kid so I can mark approximately which year I read them on Goodreads. I remember reading the Prisoner of Azkaban in December but I can’t remember if it was in third grade or fourth grade.

Looking through my middle school book ratings and I don’t even remember what happened in Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth just that the em dashes in the book made me so mad I’ve been hating the em dash since before AI made it a thing.

If I had a nickel for every book I started reading this past week where a man marries a woman who is already pregnant with another man’s child but he does it actually to protect the woman and her child when he barely even knows this woman, I would have two nickels….wtf
