Reading for research paper. Classmate had mentioned during seminar, and found it through Libby while adding different books related to Islam and Islamic history. Very interesting so far.

Horrifying detail when describing disturbing things in such what sometimes feels like a deadpan or matter of fact tone (this especially for Nao’s parts), but also very hard to put down. I really like the parts talking about time beings. I’m curious to explore Dogen Zenji.

I forgot how much I loved Ender’s Game. He may be a bigot, but damn if this man isn’t a good writer! I love all the concepts that come up and the anthropology aspects (except instead of human cultures make it inter species convo). He writes about the necessity of needing to become what we fear in matters where aggression and strategy require destroying the enemy. I love that quote by Ender about loving the enemy
