Penny Cameron is on page 36 of 152 of The Unbroken Machine: Canada's Democracy in Action
I am learning a lot and spending too much time checking rabbit holes that open up under my feet...who knew that Canadian politics was so interesting! Or that so much of what we think we know about it is just flat out wrong! So, I am writing in this book, highlighting bits, and scratching extra bits in the margins. This is not a book I will be letting go of any time soon. Very tiny, very accessible book so far.

I found this book on my shelf. I have no idea where it came from. It's an old edition and the pages are yellow and look like they may fall apart at any moment. So I better read it before I can't.
Four friends, one dies, and the rest are tasked with dumping his ashes off a pier. And why won't his widow join them?

My daughter is halfway through the third book in this trilogy. All I can say is she better hurry up! I LOVE this series!

Penny Cameron is finished with The Broken Earth Trilogy (The Broken Earth, #1-3)
Loved it! It has believable characters and settings that are easy to remember (unlike some fantasy books where I am trying to remember who everyone is from one chapter to the next because their names are just too weird). I liked the climate changes during the Fifth Season. They seemed dreadfully familiar, especially when I was reading it during forest fore season here in Alberta. I would read it again.
