Ugh, why are girl-YA-MCs always like: 'Sure, let's do stupid stuff and hurt people that ACTUALLY (miraculously!) like me, even though I've treated them extremely poorly over my own insecurities and personal needs for the last 100 pages.'
My head hurts shaking it for the latest third of the book or so.

What's worse than having every single detail from the previous book repeated back at you is the MC genuinely enjoying Natto. Why not skip that step and make her eat newborns instead? <_<;

"Autismus kommt häufiger bei Männern vor" ... und in einem Satz hat die gute Mai Thi ihre mühsam aufgebaute Glaubwürdigkeit in den Schmutz geworfen. Das Buch ist aus den 2020ern, wo Psychologie und Psychiatrie bereits anerkannten: Häufiger diagnostiziert bedeutet NICHT automatisch anfälliger, sondern einfach besser sichtbar. Die Statistik leidet unter zu vielen (zu) spät diagnostizierten Frauen.

I feel like Freida McFadden has prepared me for this one... I'm actually excited to progress and find out!

Only halfway through and I can barely take that kind of gaslighting. Why is Freida McFadden so good at this?

Parts of the book feel like the editor desperately wanted to strech the word count and making the author copy-pasting passages a couple of chapters apart. Literally, word-for-word. This is starting to get annoying.

I know that Glenn Bech is trying to criticise society here, but I cannot stop myself from thinking how ironic it is that he refuses to take his homosexuality on as his identity and then complaints about how limited and less privileged homosexuals are. Like, I know you are what you are, but if your sexuality isn't your identifier then society shouldn't be able to criticise you for it

Well, here goes my delusion about how books that are narrated by their authors are superior to the written copy or books that are narrated by strangers. This is a philosophical bed time story. Worse even, the grammar is ... experimental.

I adore Lucys sense of humor - oh I could read about him all day long!

I want to slap that mother so badly. Reading the interview with her and her husband is getting me frustrated beyond meassure! There are people trying calmly to talk to her trying to help their situation and she goes full Karen on them.

I'm no stranger to fast-paced thriller, but here I am, my thoughts pacing and me afraid of what's ahead. Does this even make sense?

I get the feeling this book could easily have done with ⅓ og its pages. So far, I have read tons about the main character, but in reallity there was nothing of importance told. He has a garden, does some art, has a son and wife and is retired. But I have no idea, what he IS like. I feel like I should know at least a bit of that after 21 pages.

Initially DNF at 7%, which borthered me as now my library decided to feature several copies in its showcase of 'most popular fiction'. Fine, I'll give it one more try alright.

I'm positively surprised how detailed this book is in explaining the connection between events. This is a childrens book for crying out loud, and not even my high school teacher could manage to explain it that effectively!

Alex Finlay /really/ seems to miss Blockbuster. Like /a lot/! XD

At this point, I feel like I have to fight myself in order to keep reading this book.
It is so hopelessly outdated and the more I read, the more unprofessionel and unsympathic Grandin seems. She just has to add "I myself"-stories to every single point she makes and has opinions about things well beyond her field of research. I really try not to roll my eyes right now.

Just a few pages back, Grandin made a point about intermale aggression and territorial aggression possibly being seen as the same by some. Now she proceeds to devide territorial and dominance aggression from intermale aggression. Let's see how she manages to explain...

This really makes me angry and sad. I can't handle that many feelings on so few pages Q_Q

It is ridiculously early in the book to make any statement, but I just need to admire the choise of cast for the audio version: Every single one of the three persons narrating are native to the language of their respective characters, and that alone makes it so much more authentic!

I was waiting for this the whole time and it came at the best of all moments - I love it!
