I feel like Gem is being really disrespectful to her new family.However she has been let down in the past so she is being really guarded about her feelings and she's trying not to become attached with her new foster family so when she sees that her brother Malik is starting to get comfortable with living there Gem becomes upset. Malik then gives Gem an ultimatum which could potentially change the way that Gem acts.

I just started reading this book. So far this book is really good and it's funny too. I like urban fiction books because I feel like I am living as if I were a character in the story.

I like this book so far. Its like broken up into 2 different stories. The only thing that I want different is that I wish the author would have continued the first story to have a part 2.
