I'm up to chapter 18 and am liking this book very much. I am listening to the audio version and the narrator is a fabulous actor. I've taken a guess as to who the killer is. We'll see if I am right.

I'm stalled in reading this until I can borrow it from the library again.

I have to say, Ellery Adams can write a good mystery.

Flora is much more eccentric than Rosie or Ariel and the dialog a lot more frenetic.

I enjoyed this book immensely. The authors thoughtfully crafted assumptions to fill in areas where no documentation existed, but also supported the story with available artifacts. It paints the picture of how truly tumultuous and contentious was the process of creating the federal government, and the strength of the forefathers. The saying that behind a strong man is an even stronger woman is definitely appropriate.

Lot's of thick, rich, detailed description. Too much of it. Good book, but this is too much.

I'm only at the beginning of part 2 and I am not sure that I can go much further. He beats a point to death and doesn't move on. If there are any pearls of wisdom later in this book, I am not sure I'm going to get there.

I am enjoying Elaine's description of the culture and history of this Paris neighborhood.
