Kinda crazy how much I’m enjoying my recent reads. Obviously not counting books I dnf’d, only one of which I read enough of to even include in my shelves, but the ones I’ve finished.

I appreciate that Lissy speaks plainly and honestly about the way Kela treats their friendship, and that it hurts her feelings even as she comes along to keep Kela from complete isolation and just be with her best friend. Kela is also aware that her grief is affecting how and when she interacts with other people, be it family or friend, and is trying, in her way, to make up for it while still being preoccupied.
