Took it all the way to American Samoa but ended up reading 96% of it back at home. LOL

Oh? Cozy sci-fi is a thing now? (Clearly I should have read the book jacket instead of basing my interest on how pretty the cover is. )

Been meaning to read this for years. LOL, now I no longer have any excuses to not...

I see in the concluding remarks that it's gonna be a trilogy. *sob*

I'm really starting to struggle... only half these plot lines are keeping me interested...

Woof! The style of this story-telling is starting to wear on me. Hoping I can work on through to the end.

Ooops! I took a couple-week break and now I've forgotten all the coy-ly laid out hints.

Finally finished the novel! And, no, I'm not reading any of this new aftermatter or essays. Blarg!

First book I've been reading on the bus since before the pandemic. LOL, my eyes have gotten a lot less cooperative since then. Nonetheless, some progress has been made (gulp! I've have this book for a couple months and it's due in early December!)

At every page I'm like, "only x pages left!" Sob! (only 82 pages left!)

Might as well add another book to the currently reading pile.

I'm particularly bitter (LOL, ok more like amused), that they decided to include the abandoned drive in from Chinook instead of Havre! Come on!

There is something confounding about the style this is written in. Not sure if I like it or not (I had to go back and re-read and re-re-read several pages today, I just couldn't slip easily into it).

November book club read! It's still close enough to October to be delightfully timely.

The whole Elon-Musk-like character ness of it all is making this an incredibly unfun read. Trying to enjoy the cheesiness of it all but but but

I got an email from my retirement system 'splaining private equity the day I checked this book out. Pretty sure I'm not gonna finish it before it's due... nonetheless my brain twinges at the timing.

Snatched this off the new book shelf at my library. But shall I actually put in the effort to read and return before my four-year checkout limit?? Will I????

Didn't mark the specific page but that quote about racism not being woven into the fabric of the U.S., rather that it is the fabric of the U.S.
