February book club selection. Here's hoping it's a fast read.

Woot! Finished before I had to return my non-renewable loan from Humboldt.

This has synced up with my current calendar in a way (hello! Valentine's Day). The other stuff is leaving my heart very heavy.

My head is really, really starting to swim in all these names. King Henward the 1-million. LOL, I'm trying to keep track of who you all are but wooooooooo, fail.

Perhaps the worst, most awkward book I've ever tried to read? Physically speaking, of course.

Yessss! I've read past the colored plates! Noooo! My head is swimming with all these kings with Anglo-whatnot names (Anglo-Norman is not a compound proper noun that I couldn't have imagined that existed before I read this book). Will I remember enough to have a cogent review at the end???

My head was starting to swim in the Henrys but I've gotten a little reprieve learning how terrible John really was (LOL, only thing Robin Hood story got factually correct).

Wait! They had people who were simultaneously kings of Denmark and pre-England? I wonder if people from Denmark go around making snotty comments about their former occupied country like the UK does about the US. LOL

Returned the repellant book club book and picked this up! Now this is the way I want to consume my history (as told by a comedian?!?!!!).

Speaking from both a physical format perspective and a story perspective, that was kind of an abrupt ending.

At some point my public library started filling in the comics hole left after they canceled Hoopla - yay! So Star Trek is back on!

Child sex abuse just isn't working for me right now. I'm noping out.

Definitely reading this instead of the book club book.

Hating it already. I'm going to give it a few more pages but if it continues to drain my soul, I'm ending it.

Yep, another book jumps in front of this month's book club read. No way I'll be able to renew this so I've gotta start it now.

I cringe that both this and the other book I recently read by another Indigenous author had the youths blaming their parents for not protecting them from all the shit life throws at a peep. Oh, if only parents had actual powers to protect their from the shit that happens in life.

I can only hope this continues to read fast since... ugh... I'm not sure I can make it through all these villain tropes.

I see in the concluding remarks that it's gonna be a trilogy. *sob*
