Oh boy, so that’s what this book is gonna be like…

Only a few chapters in but I’m digging it. Perhaps not my favorite writing style but I think the story itself will more than make up for that.

It’s fine and enjoyable enough but there’s a weird objectifying/male gazey undertone that keeps throwing the flow off.

Actually really enjoying this and I have some thoughts. Hopefully I’ll get motivated enough to write something about it when I’m done

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now, time to revisit my childhood. Hoping this holds up to the god tier standards I held it to in middle school. So far it’s a lot of fun. The writing style is juvenile (as would be expecting when a 12 year old is documenting events), but that’s not an issue since Riordon’s fast paced and witty trademark is so enjoyable.

Absolutely loving this so far! The slow and steady build up that bathed in its unique atmosphere was great. Now things are really starting to kick into motion but the elements I’ve loved are still around.

Taking a brief break from Star Wars to enjoy some other stories (I know, how daring of me).

I’m enjoying this far more than I was expecting to. If it can keep this reflective and engaging quality up for the rest of the story, it could be a favorite HR book for me.

I’ve loved the canon books I’ve read so far. Both Ahsoka and Bloodline have been great. But Dark Disciple is undoubtedly the most engaging. This is a real page turner.

So far I’m really loving this series. Just ordered the rest of it.
My only complaint about this book is that it jumps around between different plots and side plots to the point that it’s hard to get really invested in one. Still I love the overall story and chapters

Gotta say, this whole Commodus showdown thing going down right now is probably the most entertaining thing I've ever read. Rick has quite the imagination...

Not the most interesting story ever. But I should probably learn to drive...
