Emily Smith is on page 95 of 336 of The Beautiful Miscellaneous
I'm losing interest in this book, it's too slow and uneventful. I feel like the description jazzed it up a lot, when pretty much nothing happens but the main character feeling mildly annoyed with his parents.

Well, Nathan has gotten into the car crash, and survived. HIs parents expectations of him becoming a brilliant genius in some field or other haven't changed; if anything, they've increased. They seem to think that perhaps the accident will act as the trigger to the gloriously successful future they envision for their son. I find that kind of stubborn narrow-mindedness absolutely infuriating.

I feel so bad for the main character of this book, Nathan. He's just this average guy with a genius dad and a high-society mom, both of whom have unreasonable and unfair expectations of him. It has got to be tough to have that kind of weight on your shoulders, knowing that even trying your best, you will be a failure and a disappointment in your parents eyes.

I started this book because a friend recommended it to me, but I'm not really sure I'm into it. It's a certain genre that I either love or hate.

I just started this book, and more than anything I think it's kinda creepy. This 27 year old mom is keeping her son prisoner in one small room--she's raising him to believe that that is the entirety of their existence, and that what they see on tv (other people, nature, stores, schools, etc) are all fabrications for entertainment. It's pretty repetitive in what they do day to day, and I'm kind of bored with it so far

Emily Smith is on page 53 of 442 of Oliver Twist
I'm really loving this book so far--except for all the brutal and unfair treatment that poor little Oliver Twist is receiving. I can't imagine being in his place (being verbally and physically abused pretty much every second) and still managing to be good and kind and decent.

I'm really enjoying this book so far. Dickens is an exceptionally clever and humorous writer. His characters are interesting and memorable and the plot is very entertaining.

This book is plodding along at a pretty slow pace. All the drama is overkill and ridiculous. I would have expected better from Koontz.

I'm finding this book kind of annoying--it's got a very religious, everyting-in-this-world-is-sick-and-evil-so-accept-jesus-as-your-savior feel to it. I wish Koontz would lay of the converting of the 'lost' and focus more on the story.

I finished Dark Rivers of the Heart and skipped Intensity, which I have already read, and am about to begin Sole Survivor. What I have to say about Dark Rivers of the Heart is that though I enjoyed it, it was awfully predictable, and not terribly original.

I've read so many Koontz books that I've come to recognize a pattern in them--but it doesn't matter, they're written so well that I love them and am sucked into them anyway.

The last bit I read of this book has been kinda slow and dull... It keeps focusing on boring technicalities about the main character's school, which is definitely not what this book is about.

I think that Nancy Garden does a great job of making the characters in this book really likable and easy to relate to...I feel like I would be friends with several of them if they were real people.

I've heard a lot about this book and have wanted to read it for a while. It's about a pretty sensitive subject, and is really interesting so far.

So far I'm liking this book, but I have a feeling it's going to become really sad. I also get annoyed with how close-minded and judgmental the main character is.

I realized that I hadn't read the first book in this series for a really long time, so I decided to try it out again. It's actually extremely weird because I've watched the movie a billion times, and the book is pretty different.
