Bookclub book...not too impressed yet.

I made it halfway. Think I'm going to have to give up the ghost on this one...I'm not a romance reader.

First re-read since 1995! I'm pumped.

I hate everyone in this book.

Book is inTENSE.

Soooooo....compelling if outlandish premise. Not sure why it feels so muted and snoozy tho.

Last night I started highlighting passages that were poorly written...it got tedious.

Reading this for book club. So far it really sucks.

Interesting topic, but thus far Eric Weiner comes across as an insecure, schmarmy little snit.

Digging back into this beast after a year hiatus. I felt the jones for wolves and ice and blood and wine.

Getting better. I've enjoyed the last 100 pages quite a bit more than the first two thirds of the book.

Really opened up after the first chapter. Yes, there's a large cast (often a problem of the genre). Yes, there's a lot of unusual vocabulary. But Hild the character is extraordinary and her take on the supernatural is revealing.

Roth is so gifted at writing pages and pages of prose where nothing happens but I can't quit reading.

Ty Kamm wins. I am finally reading this after six years of hearing "I would prefer not to."

I love these 99¢ Kindle books - great for the gym. I'm not sure I would've picked this up otherwise, but it's decent for the mystery genre. I like Wimsey's love for first editions, of course.
