Wasn't sure I'd like this book since "Cinder" series
was so great. The basic story is Cinderella, but it
changes quickly. Nicolette and her mother are brilliant
inventors who use a bit of magic to create wondrous
things. Nicolette loses her mother but she's determined
to succeed. Her dreams are more than just getting
the prince!!!!

Strong women who survive life's trials. These women triumph with the help of their friends. I love feisty Ivy who helps Jilly through her most tragic and terrible times during World War Two. Another great Veronica Henry novel!

I want to put down part of the review from Booklist. Think Raymond Chandler meets Men in Black with more than a dash of the
Looney Tunes All Stars. It's going to be awhile reading this because I keep tripping over stuff that is fall down funny. Moore's descriptions are just great fun. 4 stars so far, but might end up with 5 stars.

This book left me with such a touching warm feeling. I loved the whole book and it's ending was beautiful. The story of these people was interesting and surprising. I don't want to spoil this for anyone
who decides to read this book. I feel this is as good as "La's Orchestra"

Wonderful uplifting book of short stories. Lately there have been such
terrible mass shootings that it makes one feel hopeless. I picked the
best book to read. There are so many loving, courageous and kind people in this world. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

The number of pages on this book is like 415 not 320. Anyway it's a fascinating read with lots of history on London and the Thames river mixed in with a wonderful murder mystery. Great read!!!!

I am reading this way too fast. I need to slow down and enjoy this wonderfully creepy book! I know there are some surprises coming and I am anxious to find out what they are. Especially who and what the Reeds are, and what big nasty thing is under the crossroads!!!!!

Great fun read. Mrs. Pargeter decides to help a dying woman return several stolen painting to their original owners. Of course nothing goes smoothly. The paintings are stolen before they can do anything and they are being investigated by an over zealous policeman!

This is the story of Sara, a young Swedish woman who has been writing to Amy, an elderly woman in Broken Wheel Iowa for
2 years. They decide that she should come to US and visit even though
Amy never tells Sara how ill she is.
Sara arrives on the day of Amy's funeral.
This leads to a story full of humor, heart and joy! I love this book!!!!

I am enjoying "The Revolving Door of Life" the most recent addition to the " 44 Scotland Street Series". What fun to read about Bertie being free of his pushy mother and her goofball ideas of child rearing. I can only hope that Irene stays in the sheikh's harem!

What a fast fun read. Liz is trying to save a Marilyn Monroe lookalike who is sure she is going to die on August 4th, the same date the real Marilyn died. Lots of romance with her biz partner Nate!

Almost done. The take on this book is that people either love it or hate it although on Amazon there are lots of positive reviews. I am actually enjoying this book and I don't mind that it has 4 separate stories that begin to meld into a Dan Brown type thriller.
