chapter 22 was terrific -- the kind of thing that really grabs you and keeps you until you read the whole 100 pages in one sitting.

Five years later and I'm still not so sure I like "Good People"/chapter 6

some pretty gaping holes in the narrative + kinda screwy chronology makes for a less than easy read, but i still don't hate the book so far

the title and premise had me worried that this would be like a bad McSweeney's book, but it's actually totally great, i had to force myself to put it down
