This book deserves a good edit- could easily be 75% the length which would improve its readability. However, the content is fantastic and very valuable as an athlete and coach. I would love to give this book a good proofread free of charge (:

Ugh. I hate quitting a book, but by 2/3rds in I found I really didn't care what happened, I didn't like any of the characters, and I was tired of reading cut-off dialogue and partial sentences.

I am not sure why everyone has such bad reviews for this book. Obviously it's not Rebecca but it's a gripping and emotional story nonetheless. It is slow but beautifully written and while her thoughts and the events are a bit trivial that is just her character. And while Maxim is just awful, the way she deals with him and the reactions and emotions she suppresses is relatable and powerful.
