Philip is a real "outside the box" guy. I dig him. William H.is a reprehensible, irredeemable, unrelenting prick.

Thoroughly enjoyable. Kinda gave me a "Prince of Tides" kinda feel and the story was well crafted. Sorta like all those cleaning montages in movies combined into a beautiful mysterious plot. Right up my alley.

Wow, what a lovely story... I so enjoyed a peek into the life of women in 17th century Iran... a chapter of history I hadn't heretofore explored. Interspersing classic Iranian folk tales with chapters as they fit the narrative was fantastic! A great way to start my reading year!
