so...period play...that's a total red flag for me. It's so gross. I could have gone without this part.

so i liked the first book in this interconnected standalone series but this one. chefs kiss so far. I am liking it so much more than the other one. it's based in the late 1800s and is in an academy setting where women are newly to being allowed to study at artistic school. so upper-class women being allowed to study. This FMC has off page forced....events... and then unalived the person so she's been on the run.

i'm struggling with this one. I'll finish it but i really lost interest after about mid way through the 3rd book so i probably shouldn't have even started this one

why are we starting the book with spice between the human and the dragon turned human.... i wasn't sure if i wanted to finish this series. now i almost feel like i should not have picked this up. we shall see though.

I'm listening to this as an Advanced Listener Copy and right now the female narrator is doing a good job with the male voice. I always find that to be important for audios if it's single narration.

lol i'm totally only 25% through this but i can already relate. so yes, this is about what you think it is BUT what is actually very interesting is the FMC was brought up "prudish" that's the best word to use for it. where anything other than one position is "nasty" "unbecoming" etc. and where oral should never be preformed. This is actually how i was raised. the S word was a bad word and we didn't speak it.

I’m on chapter 44. Like 80% through this and why am I not into it? I loved Avalon Tower but can’t seem to get into this one. It’s games and trails so you’d think I’d like it.

this was interesting. it was like a Bridgerton murder mystery with plant magic. i liked it but i'm still confused as to why i liked it. lol

so i liked the first book. something about a bully romance with an internal dialog that is funny is my jam. I also somewhat liked the second one. like 3 stars but not amazing. The plot was pretty decent and the ending was a good cliffhanger but this one.... I am struggling to get through it.

I'm about halfway through this so far. I'm really liking her internal banter and even her external banter.

I always read and listen to books at the same time. they aren't always the same books. with that, give me some Duet narration audiobook recommendations. I need some more audio books.

I'm in part 2 right now and it feels like what was going on in part one 4 years in the future compared to part 2 from 4 years in the past is almost the same. like maybe one part is a dreamscape....maybe.... i dunno. I haven't read Manacled but i do own a copy so i don't actually know the story line here. it's just something you have to be paying attention to and fully committed or you'll get lost.

well that was a dark chapter. not so sure i care for gun play.

I was going to wait until i was finished to say this but I will also include it in my review. I think anyone that has delt with a narcissistic person / relationship needs to read this. really, everyone should read this so they can identify a narcissistic person. Nothing is more toxic than a narcissistic relationship.

i think chapter 17/18 just killed me.

If anything were to trigger me it would be this book for sure. I'm going to need a fluffy fun book after this. This book covers every trigger warning you can think of.

The Magic system i am reading about for the resting into the program is something new to me. Different that i haven't read about so it's keeping my interest if a little.

Something that seemed weird to me though is the first chapter we were thrusted into a group of people running for their life and only 2 made it across some boarder but then chapter 2 started off with a completely different character in the middle of a train ride to a Magic School to rest into a program.

I'm not far into this. in the middle of chapter 3 actually. I am having a bit of a hard time getting into it though from all the reviews i've seen everyone says it really picks up at chapter 9 so of course i will keep reading.

I am struggling. There is no romance in this. it's like all Physical with little plot.... I bought this book and the second one and I am so about to DNF....should I keep going? Is the second one better?

This book has be so emotional. I loved the story of Siles and Lena from the get go. Their love and story and how great he was with her but then when things outside their control started happening.... trying not to give spoilers here.... and time pasted with them apart.... it's so heartbreaking.

I am more than halfway through this book in less than 24 hours. I for one am so addicted. that do they say about don't judge a book by it's cover. I have to agree with this statement. I didn't really care for the cover because it looks like a teen book but i am really into this book so far.

Struggling to get through this one. too many POVs from other perspectives.

i needed a break from fantasy books. this is a nice break from it. so far loving this.
