Fun so far - a world where Harry Potter meets Druid mythology.

This book just made me laugh out loud. Here’s a passage as the crew attempts to navigate its first major storm:

“Where is the wind coming from?” - asked the captain?
Carafoca took out his handkerchief, observed it carefully, and said:
“From very far away.”

Opening scene like an old western, with shady characters.

Although the title makes it seem infantile, la verdad es que this book is not a simple read. I own a copy of El Principito, which might be more accessible after struggling through “Mi Primer Principito”

Interesting- I’m quite a ways in and still don’t know where this is going or how it’s going to end. I am expecting a big twist, because nothing else feels like it can wrap this up with the amount of book there is left.

Trying to figure out how this book is going to end-

Not as good as the last one- at least not yet. The main character is so off-putting

Fun. Every chapter ends on a cliffhanger and there are 29 chapters

32 pages in.

A section about Physics in a Language Book? They’ve tricked me into learning something

Interesting so far. It’s mostly a memoir of Thailand in the 1960s right now, but it’s providing some insights into the history of the development of language-learning techniques.
