Interesting so far. It’s mostly a memoir of Thailand in the 1960s right now, but it’s providing some insights into the history of the development of language-learning techniques.

Got some time to read. I appreciate when I have time to read.

I was more interested in the geopolitics than the travelogue sections of the book, but I have learned a great deal about the origins of Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore from the last few chapters.

So far so good. It’s interesting

Picked up this book when it was being tossed. An interesting prologue hooked me into deciding to read it.
